Five rock towers above Cortina, an open-air WWI museum in summer and a ski area in winter.

How to see it

A chairlift from the road to Passo Falzarego reaches Rifugio Scoiattoli at the foot of the towers. An easy path loops around them, through restored First World War trenches and positions.

Where to stay

When to go

In winter the Cinque Torri are part of Cortina’s ski area and of the Giro della Grande Guerra ski tour; in summer they are a climbing playground and an open-air museum.

Good to know

The five towers are surprisingly small up close, which makes them one of the most popular climbing sites in the Dolomites.
